جلسيني jal-senī S̱. (जलशयन from जल Wa- ter, and r. शी Sleep) s. f. 1. Sleeping in water by way of mortification. 2. A fish.

جاروب jā-rūb P (جا Place, and روب part. act. of رفتن To sweep) s. m. A broom, besom, or the sweeper who uses it. جاروب کش jārūb-kash, s. m. A sweeper.

جهڙاک jhaṛāk S̱. or جهڙاک جهڙاک jhaṛāk jha- ṛāk (झटिति) Speed, haste, hurry.

جون javan S (यवन) s. m. A Greek, a Muhammadan or European invader of India. See s̱. يمن yaman.

جراحت jarāḥat A (correctly jiraḥat) s. f. A wound, a sore.

جهنکهنون jhankhnauṅ H v. n. (in Braj) See جهکنا jhaknā.
