آينده رونده āyanda ravanda P part. act. (from آمدن To come, and رفتن To go) Coming and going, passing to and fro, comer and goer.

اتراین uttar-āyan S (उत्तर North, and अयन Going, path) s. m. Northing, passing (of the sun) from the south to the north. S. اتربهادرید उत्तरभाद्रपद (उत्तर Posterior, and भाद्रपद The constellation) uttara-bhādra- pad, s. m. A mansion of the moon (the twenty-seventh).

اجواین ajwāyan H s. f. The seed of a plant of the dill kind. (Ligusticum ajowan, Roxb.).

افزاینده afzāyanda P part. act. (of افزایدن) in com- pos. Increasing.

اندراین indrāyan इन्द्रवारुणी S̱. s. f. Colo- cynth, wild gourd (Cucumis colocynthis, a fruit of beautiful appearance but bitter taste); hence, a beautiful but worthless person is called اندراین کا پهل The fruit of indrāyan. S. اندربدهو इन्द्रवधू (इंद्र Indra, and वधू or बधू A woman) indra-badhū, s. f. 1. Name of an insect (a species of acarus of a scarlet colour and like velvet). 2. The wife of Indra.

باين bāyan S (वायन) s. m. Sweetmeat, cakes, &c. distributed at marriages and other cere- monies.

بنياين banyāyan S̱. or banyāʼin, s. f. Wife of a بنيا (shopkeeper, &c.) q. v.

بين baiyan A. (perhaps, for بيان bayān, q. v.) s.m. Explanation, interpretation.

بکاين bakāyan H s. f. The name of a tree. (Melia sempervirens. Sans. महानिम्ब).

دچهناين दक्षिणायन दक्षिण South, and अयन Way dachchh̤ināyan S. s. m. Sunʼs southing or passing from north to south.

دکهناين दक्षिणायन dakkh̤iṇāyan S s. m. Southing. دکهناين سورج dakkh̤iṇāyan-sūraj (दक्षिणायनसूर्य्य) The winter solstice, sunʼs southing, the period of the sunʼs being in the southern hemisphere, southern declination.
