اکٿانا ukṭānā S̱. (perhaps, उत् and r. कड Break, separate) v. a. To dig up slowly a thing buried in the ground, to extract a secret gradually and artfully, to pump.

اکڙو ukṛū H s. m. The posture of sitting on the hams with the soles of the feet on the ground.

Giving or occasioning pain, troublesome, vexatious. دکهـ کا مارا dukh kā mārā, adj. Afflicted. دکهـ هرن दुःखहरण dukh-haraṇ, Anodyne. دکهـ هرتا दुःखहर्ता dukhahartā, Dispeller of grief or pain.

سکٿا sukṭā S̱. (from سوکهنا sūkhnā, q. v. or शुष्क) adj. Lean, thin, dry, emaciated. ¶ sikṭā (शर्करा) s. m. Potsherd, shard.

سکٿي sukṭī S̱. (see سکٿا sukṭā) 1. adj. Lean, thin, emaciated, dry. 2. s. f. Dried fish.

ٿهکڙا ṭhukṛā S̱. s. m. A bit, a piece (of bread, &c.). See ٿکرا ṭukrā.
