آسن āsin आश्विन S̱. s. m. The sixth Hindū month, in which the moon is full near the stars in the head of Aries. September--October. S. آسن (असन or) आसन āsan, s. m. The name of a tree on which the tasar silk-worm feeds. (Terminalia alata tomentosa). S. اسن अशन (r. अश Eat) asan, s. m. Eating, food: also, the tree last described.

باره سنگا bārah-singā S̱. (द्वादशन् Twelve, and शृंग Horn) s. m. A stag. (Cervus elaphus).

ستياناس सत्यानाश सत्या Veracity, sinceri- ty, and नाश Annihilation satyānās S. s. m. سنان sinān A (from سنّ Heb. To sharpen) s. f. The point (of a spear, arrow, needle, &c.), a spear.

سندهو sindhū सिंधु S̱. s. m. The ocean. See سندهہ sindh.

سندهہ sindh S or sindhu (सिंधु) s. m. 1. Sea, ocean. 2. The name of a district. 3. Name of a musical mode, or rāginī.

سنک sinak H s. m. Blowing the nose, snot.

سنکنا sinaknā H v. a. To blow the nose.

سنگا singā S̱. (from शृंग Horn) s. m. A trumpet.

سنگار singār शृंगार S̱. s. m. Ornament, dress, embellishment, decoration. سنگاررس singār- ras, s. m. One of the nine ras: see s. رس.

سنگارنا singārnā S̱. (from शृंगार) v. a. To dress, to decorate, to embellish.
