رضا raẓā A or prop. riẓā (Heb. To approve, be pleased) s. f. 1. Consent, acquiescence, as- sent, good pleasure, will. 2. Permission, leave. رضاجوئي riẓā-jo-ī, s. f. Seeking the good plea- sure or approbation. رضامند raẓā-mand, adj. Acquiescing, consenting, permitting, wishing, willing. رضامندي raẓāmand-ī, s. f. 1. Consent, acquiescence, willingness, good pleasure. 2. Permission.

رضاعت raẓāʼaﻌt A (from رضع) s. f. Sucking. A. H. رضاعي بهاٴي raẓāʼīﻌ-bhāʼī, A fosterbrother.

رضاٴي raẓāʼī S̱. (corrupt. from رجاٴي from Sans. रंजिक Cloth) s. f. A quilt.

غرض g̠ẖaraẓ A 1. s. f. Design, view, wish, in- tention, object, aim, purpose, end, business, meaning, need, occasion, use, want, interestedness, interest, selfishness, hatred, spite. 2. adv. In short, in a word, in fine. غرض آشنا g̠ẖaraẓ- āshnā, adj. Interested. غرض آلود g̠ẖaraẓ-ālūd, Designing, interested, selfish. غرض آميز g̠ẖa- raẓ-āmez, Designing, selfish, interested, spiteful. غرض باولا g̠ẖaraẓ-bāʼolā, A slave to oneʼs pas- sions. غرض مند g̠ẖaraẓ-mand, adj. Desirous, wishing for, selfish, designing. غرضمندي g̠ẖa- raẓ-mand-ī, s. f. Selfishness.

مترضي mutaraẓẓī A part. act. (V. of رضو Heb. ) Contenting, satisfying.

مرض maraẓ A or marẓ (Heb. ) s. m. Sickness, disease, infirmity. مرض الموت maraẓu-l-maut, Mortal disease.

معارضه muʼāﻌraẓa A (inf. III. of عرض) s. m. Con- tradiction, opposition; antithesis.

مقرض muḳarraẓ A (part. pass. II. of قرض Heb. ) adj. Cut, shredded (as with scissors).
