اخروٿ aḵẖroṭ अक्षोड S̱. s. m. A walnut: the fruit of the Aleurites triloba, also, is so called.

انگوٿ angoṭ H s. f. Appearance, person. See انگیٿ and انگلیٿ.

اوٿ oṭ S̱. (perhaps, from r. वट Surround) s. f. m. Protection, shade, shelter, screen, covering, concealment, partition. اوٿ کرنا oṭ karnā, To conceal, screen, &c. اوٿ هونا oṭ honā, To be concealed, &c.

اوٿا oṭā S̱. (see اوٿ) s. m. A partition-wall or screen.

اوٿنا oṭnā S̱. (see اوٿ) v. a. 1. To defend, to screen, to shelter. 2. To thrum, to separate the seed from cotton. 3. To catch (a ball, &c.).

بروٿها baroṭhā H s. m. 1. A washerman. 2. A vestibule.

بليلوٿن billī-loṭan S̱. (from بلي A cat, and لوٿن Tum- bling, rolling) s. m. Valerian.

بنجهوٿي banjhoṭī S̱. (from बंध्या Barren) s. f. A medicine taken to produce barrenness.

بوٿي boṭī H s. f. A morsel or lump of meat. P.A. بوجه ba-wajh, In the mode or manner.

بکوٿنا bakoṭnā H v. a. To lacerate with the nails, to claw, to scratch.

توٿا toṭā H s. m. (dakh.) See ٿوٿا ṭoṭā, sign. 1.

توٿکا toṭkā H s. m. (dakh.) See ٿوٿکا ṭoṭkā.

جمال گوٿا jamālgoṭā H s. m. The name of a pur- gative nut. (Croton tiglium).

جوٿ joṭ H s. m. A fellow, peer, one of a pair, a mate, a match. adj. Equal, even, not odd. جوٿ باندهنا joṭ bāndhnā, To pair.

دهن نوٿا dhannoṭā H s. m. Cross beams that sus- tain the supports of thatch.
