نقا naḳā A (from نقي Heb. and Chald. ) 1. s. f. Purity, cleanness. 2. adj. Pure, clean. 3. Good, virtuous, exquisite.

نقاره naḳāra A or naḳḳāra (from نقر Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A kettledrum. نقاره بجاتي پهرنا naḳāra bajāte phirnā (dakh. i. q. مشـﮩور کرنا) To publish, make celebrated (?).

نقاري naḳār-ī A. s. m. One who beats the kettle- drum.

نقاهت naḳāhat A (from نقه) s. f. 1. Recovering from disease, convalescence. 2. Imbecility, feebleness, languidness, languor.

نقاوت naḳāwat A (from نقي Heb. and Chald. ) s. f. Purity, cleanness.

نقي naḳī A (Heb. and Chald. ) adj. Pure, clean, excellent.

نقيب naḳīb A (from نقب Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. 1. A chief, a leader. 2. An intelligent person. 3. A servant whose business it is to proclaim the titles of his master, and to intro- duce those who pay their respects to him. 4. An adjutant or aide de camp.

نقير naḳīr A (from نقر Heb. and Aram. ) 1. s. m. A trough of a hollowed palm tree in which they make a strong wine of dates, &c. 2. The spot on the back of a date stone through which the young plant shoots; (hence) adj. Very small, of little moment, meanest. نقير وقطمير

نقيض naḳīẓ A (from نقض analog. to Chald. ) 1. adj. Adverse, contrary, opposite. 2. s. m. An enemy.

نقيه naḳīh A (from نقه) adj. Faint, feeble, weak.
