آلان आलान ālān S s. m. The post to which an elephant is tied, or the rope that ties him.

الانا allānā H v. n. To bawl, to scream, to squeak.

انٿهلانا anṭhlānā H 1. v. a. To twist, to writhe. 2. v. n. To swagger, to strut, to give oneʼs self airs, to walk affectedly. See اترانا itrānā, and اٿهلانا iṭhlānā.

اٿهلانا iṭhlānā H v. a. To walk affectedly or coquettishly, to express tenderness or kindness by gesture.

اچلانا uchlānā S̱. (from اچلنا) v. a. To order a person to separate (one thing from another). S̱. اچلنا (उत् and r. चल Move) uchalnā, v. n. To separate, to be separated.

اچهلانا uchhlānā S̱. (caus. of اچهالنا) v. a. To or- der another to throw up any thing. S̱. اچهلنا (उत् and r. चल Move) uchhalnā, v. n. To leap or bound, to spring or spout up (as water in a fountain), to spring or fly up.

اکلانا akulānā S̱. (from आकुल Agitated, distres- sed) v. n. To be agitated, to be distracted, to be confused, to be out of order, to tire, to weary, to be astonished.

بتلانا batlānā H v. a. To show, explain, point out, denote, teach, inform, express, signify, ad- duce, account for. See بتانا batānā.

بطلان but̤lān A s. f. Abortion, falseness, vanity, the becoming of no effect.
