Without, except, un- less, not. بن جاني bin-jāne, With- out knowing, unwittingly. بن داني پاني bin dāne pānī, Without eating and drinking. بن ماري شهيدهونا bin māre shahīd honā, or بن تيغ شهيدهونا bin teg̠ẖ shahīd honā, To be slain without a wound (are expressions applied to lovers). بن ماري توبه کرنا bin māre tauba karnā, To fear without a cause.
