بهونڐا bhonḍā H adj. Ill-shaped, uncouth, mis- shapen, useless, bad, ugly, unlucky.

جهونٿا jhonṭā H s. m. 1. The hair of the back part of the head. (Sans. जटा Hair matted). 2. The motion of a swing. جهونٿا دينا jhonṭā denā, To shake oneʼs head with violence.

جهونٿي jhonṭī H s. f. See جهونٿا jhonṭā.

هونٿ honṭ S̱. or hūnṭ, s. m. (dakh.) See هونٿهہ honṭh. هونٿان چابنا hoṅṭ-āṅ chābnā (dakh.) To bite the lips; to fear, to repent. ¶ hūnṭ, See ونٿ ūnṭ.

هونٿهي honṭh-ī S̱. s. m. The bit of a bridle.

هونٿهہ honṭh ओष्ठ S̱. s. m. The lip.

ٿهونٿهـ ṭhonṭh त्रोटि S̱. s. f. Beak, bill (of a bird).

چونٿلا chonṭlā H s. m. 1. The ribbon with which hair is tied or braided at the end, the cue or lock of hair behind. 2. False hair mixed with the real.

چونٿي chonṭī S̱. (चूडा Tuft, crest, pinnacle, peak, summit) s. f. 1. The hair braided be- hind (tail), braid, cue, top, apex, summit, pin- nacle. 2. An ornament worn on the head by women. چونٿي آسمان پر گهسنا chonṭī āsmān par ghisnā, To be very vain or aspiring. چونٿي کٿ chonṭī-kaṭ, A slave. چونٿي کٿوانا chonṭī kaṭwānā, To be a slave, to be obedient. چونٿي کسيکي هاتهـ مين آنا chonṭī kisī kī hāth men ānā, To have a power over one, to subdue.

چونڐا chonḍā S̱. (चूडा Crest, &c.) s. m. 1. The head. 2. Hair braided on the top of the head.

چچونڐا chichonḍā H s. (dakh.) See چچنڐا chi- chinḍā. چچونڐا هونا chichonḍā honā, To be still or motionless.

ڐهونڐ ḍhonḍ H s. m. A capsule or seed-vessel (especially, of the poppy).

کهونٿا khonṭā H adj. Deficient, adulterated, bad (as, coin), false, deceitful. ¶ khūnṭā, s. m. 1. A tent-pin, a pin, a peg, nail. 2. Protection. کهونٿي کي بل کودنا khūnṭe ke bal kūdnā, To become insolent relying on protection. (The idea seems to be taken from a personʼs teasing an animal, which, being fastened by a rope to a pin, is unable to get at him: so that کهونٿا is only indirectly a protection by restraining the adver- sary).

کهونڐلا khonḍlā कोटर S̱. adj. Toothless, hol- low.

کهونڐکل khonḍkal कोटर S̱. s. m. A hollow.
