شبچراغ shab-chirāg̠ẖ P or shab-charāg̠ẖ, s. m. A carbuncle, a gem of the ruby kind.

چراؤ chirāʼo S̱. s. m. (dakh.) Slit, rent, cleft.

چراغ chirāg̠ẖ P or Pers. charāg̠ẖ, s. m. A lamp,

چراغي chirāg̠ẖ-ī P s. f. 1. A present made to the Mullā for offering up oblations at the tomb of a saint. 2. Alms given to beggars who walk the streets at night as the class called Naḳshbandī. 3. Present to soothsayers.

چراغپا chirāg̠ẖ-pā P adj. Rearing (a horse).

چراند chirānd H s. f. The smell of burning lea- ther, hair, &c.

چرچرا chirchirā H s. m. 1. Name of a medicinal plant. (Achyranthes aspera). 2. A child. ¶ churchurā, adj. Crisp, acrid. ¶ charcharā, adj. Talkative, chattering.

چرچراهٿ chirchirāhaṭ H s. f. Peevishness.
