ابٿ ubaṭ S̱. or ubṭi, (उद्वर्त्तन) s. m. See اپٿن upṭan.

ابٿنا ubaṭnā उद्वर्त्तन S̱. v. a. To rub on the body a detergent application, called اپٿن upṭan.

اوبٿ au-baṭ S̱. or ūbaṭ (perhaps, from अव q. v. and वाट Way, or for اوگهٿ aughaṭ, q. v.) adj. Impassable, steep, inaccessible, devious.

اڙبڙ aṛbaṛ H s. m. Words without meaning. adj. Uneven, rugged. اڙبڙبکنا aṛbaṛ baknā, v. a. To speak inconsiderately or without meaning, to rave, talk absurdly, babble.

اڙبڙنگ aṛbaṛang H s. m. Foolish actions.

اڙبڙنگي aṛbaṛang-ī H adj. Inconsiderate. H. S̱. اڙبند aṛband, s. m. A cloth worn by Hindūs, passing from the waist between the thighs and fastening behind.

بجربٿو bajr-baṭṭū H s. m. Name of a fruit.

بصارت baṣārat A (from بصر) s. f. Sight, seeing, perceiving.

بصر baṣar A s. m. Seeing, discerning, vision, sight, the eye, understanding, knowledge.

بصل baṣal A s. f. An onion. P.A. بصورت ba-ṣūrat, In the manner, by the way.

بصير baṣīr A part. act. (from بصر) Seeing. Met. Blind.

بصيرت baṣīrat A (from بصر) s. f. Sight, insight, circumspection, prudence.

بنور baṅwar वीरुध् S̱. s. f. A creeper, a vine.

بٿ baṭ S̱. (r. वट or वड Wrap, entwine) s. m. 1. Tripe. 2. (from بٿنا To twist) Twist. 3. A wrinkle or fold of the abdomen. 4. (in compos. a contract. of باٿ) Road; as in بٿ پاڙ baṭ pāṛ, q. v.

بٿ پار baṭ-pār S̱. (باٿ Road, and پاڙنا To throw down) s. m. Highwayman, footpad, villain, cut-throat, assassin.
