اجاڙ ajāṛ H s. m. Canvass (cloth made of hemp).

اجاڙ ujāṛ S̱. (see اجڙنا) adj. Desert, desolate, ruined, ruinous, demolished, deserted, aban- doned.

اجاڙنا ujāṛnā S̱. (caus. of اجڙنا) v. a. To lay waste, desolate, demolish, injure, expose to loss.

جاذب jāẕib A part. act. (from جذب) adj. 1. Alluring, attractive, absorbent. 2. Drawing (as, a plaster).

جاذبه jāẕib-a A s. m. Drawing, attraction.

جانکڙ jāṅkaṛ H s. m. Money (or other pledge) left for a thing purchased, while it is carried away to be finally approved.

جاٿ jāṭ H s. m. The name of a tribe among Rājpūts.

جاٿهـ jāṭh यष्टि S̱. s. m. 1. The axis or roller of an oil or sugar-mill which presses the grain or the canes. 2. A post placed by Hindūs in the centre of a tank to mark its being dedicated to the deity.

جاڙا jāṛā जड S̱. s. m. 1. Cold, coldness. 2. The winter.
