ابهمني अभिमन्य abhimanya S adj. Proud, haughty.

ايمه aima A. s. m. (for aʼịmma, plur. of امام but used to denote) Land given as a reward or fa- vour by the king at a very low rent, a fief. (When no rent is paid, the land is called لااخراج lā ḵẖirāj). Charity lands. ايمه دار aima-dār, One who holds land in ايمه aima, a feoffee.

خادمه ḵẖādima A s. f. (of خادم ḵẖādim, q. v.) A female servant.

خيمه ḵẖaima A or ḵẖīma (from خام) s. m. A tent, pavilion. خيمه دوز ḵẖīma-doz (خيمه and the part. act. of دوختن To sew) A tent-maker. خيمه کرنا ḵẖaima karnā, To encamp. خيمه گاه ḵẖīma-gāh, s. f. A camp. د

سمٿ simaṭ H (from سمٿنا simaṭnā, q. v.) s. f. 1. Act of collecting, condensing, or constringing. 2. Tone, elasticity. سمٿ جانا simaṭjā- nā, v. n. To shrivel, to shrink.

سمٿنا simaṭnā H v. n. To be concentrated, to shrink, to be contracted or drawn together, to shrivel.

شمر shimar A n. prop. The name of one of Ya- zīdʼs generals, who slew Ḥusain in the plains of Karbalā; and hence now means, vile, infa- mous, &c

عاصمه āﻌṣima A adj. f. (of عاصم q. v.) Chaste.

فاطمه fāt̤ima A s. f. Name of Muhammadʼs daughter and wife of Ali.

لازمه lāzima A (part. act. of لزم) adj. Insepa- rably belonging or adhering (to), incumbent (on), necessary, requisite, ur- gent, suitable, proper, important, inseparable, indispensable. لازم ملزوم lāzim malzūm, Inti- mate friendship.

ميمنت maimanat A (from يمن Heb. and Aram. ) s. f. Fortune, prosperity, happiness.

ميمنه maimana A s. m. The right wing of an army.

هاضمه hāẓima A s. m. The digestive powers.
