آب پاشي āb-pāshī P s. f. Sprinkling water.

آب چشي āb-chashī P s. f. The giving drink to a child for the first time (generally when about six months old) preparatory to weaning.

آدهاري ādhār-i S̱. (in compos.) An eater; as, دوده آدهاري dūdh-ādhārī, One who lives on milk. ماس آدهاري mās-ādhārī, Flesh-eater, carnivorous.

آدهان आधान आ and r. धा Hold ā-dhān S. s. m. 1. A ceremony practised as conducive to conception. 2. Conception, pregnancy.

آرتهيا arthīyā S̱. (r. अर्थ Seek, beg) s. m. A fol- lower, a client, a protegee, a person recom- mended.

آرچا ārchā S̱. s. f. See ارچا अर्चा archā. S. ارچت अर्चित (r. अर्च Worship) archit, adj. Worshipped, adored, reverenced, saluted.

آشام āshām P part. act. (of آشامیدن) in compos. Drinking, drinker.

آشیرباد āshīr-bād S s. m. See آسرباد āsirbād.
