اشٿانگ अष्टांग अष्ट Eight, and अंग Mem- ber ash̤ṭāng S. Eight parts of man, viz. the hands, feet, thighs, breast, eyes, head, words and mind. اشٿانگ پرنام ash̤ṭāng-praṇām, s. m. Prostration, in salutation or adoration, so as to touch the ground with those eight parts.

الٿانا ulṭānā H (caus. of الٿنا) v. a. To overturn,

الٿانا پلٿانا ulṭānā pulṭānā H v. a. 1. To reverse, to modify. 2. To interchange.

اوٿ پٿانگ ūṭ-paṭāng H s. m. Absurdity, non- sense, what is without meaning or foundation. adj. Poor, helpless, destitute, in disorder.

اوٿ پٿانگي ūṭ-paṭāng-ī H adj. (used substantively) One who speaks inconsiderately or without preparation.

اٿپٿانگي aṭpaṭāngī H adj. Inconsiderate, irregu- lar, unstudied, thoughtless.

اکٿانا ukṭānā S̱. (perhaps, उत् and r. कड Break, separate) v. a. To dig up slowly a thing buried in the ground, to extract a secret gradually and artfully, to pump.

بنٿانا banṭānā S̱. (r. वट Share out) v. a. To share, to divide, to participate.

بٿانا biṭānā H v. a. To scatter, to sprinkle.

جهرمٿانا jhurmuṭānā H v. n. (dakh. i. q. پژمرده هونا) To be or become withered or faded, &c.

دپٿانا dapṭānā H (caus. of دپٿنا) v. a. To gallop.

دٿانا daṭānā H v. a. (dakh.) See دبکانا dabkānā.

سٿانا saṭānā S̱. (caus. of سٿنا saṭnā, q. v.) v. a. To unite, to stick, to make adhere.

سٿپٿانا saṭpaṭānā H v. n. To be confounded, to be surprised. H. S̱. سٿ دينا saṭ denā, v. a. (dakh.) 1. To throw, to cast. 2. (ناچيزسمجهنا) To consider worth- less or of no consequence.

لوٿانا lauṭānā H (causal of لوٿنا lauṭnā) v. a. 1. To turn over, to invert. 2. To turn back, to return, to give back, to reject. S̱. H. لوٿ پوٿ loṭ-poṭ, adj. 1. Wallowing, tum- bling and tossing, rolling about, restless. لوٿ پوٿ هونا loṭ-poṭ honā, To be in love.
