چند chand चंद्र S̱. s. m. The moon. چندمکهـ chand mukh, s. m. Face bright or beautiful as the moon; adj. Having such a face. چندمکهي chand-mukh-ī, or چندبدني chand-badan-ī, adj. Having a countenance beautiful as the moon.

چندر चंद्र chandar S or chandr, s. m. چندرهار चंद्रहार chandra-hār S s. m. A neck- lace composed of circular pieces of gold, silver, &c. (each piece resembling the moon in shape).

چندرودي चंद्रोदय chandrodaya S s. m. Moon- rising.

چندرکا चंद्रिका chandrikā S s. f. The moon- shine, the moon-beams.

چندن चंदन chandan S s. m. Sandal-wood or -tree, sanders. (Sirium myrtifolium or Santalum album).
