آب گیر āb-gīr P s. A ditch in which water stands, a pond, an instrument like a broom for sprinkling water on a warp stretched for weaving.

آتش انگیز ātash-angez P adj. Kindling, spreading or stirring up fire. s. Fire-kindler, an incen- diary, a seditious person.

اگیا aggyā S̱. or āggyā (आज्ञा ājnyā) s. f. Command, order, permission.

اگیا agiyā H s. m. Name of a bird. (Alauda aggia, Buch.). S. اگیات جوبنا अज्ञातयौवना (from अज्ञात Unknown, and यौवन Youth) agyāt-jaubanā or a-jnyāta-yauvanā, s. f. A girl arrived at maturity and surprised at the symptoms which then appear, not knowing to what to attribute her sensations.

اگیاري agyārī S̱. (from आग्नि Fire) s. f. Kin- dling the fire by Hindūs at the time of worship- ping. See هوم hom.

اگیان अज्ञान a-gyān S or a-jnyān, adj. Witless,

اگیانا agyānā S̱. (from अग्नि Fire) v. a. To burn vessels of metal for the purpose of cleaning them. S̱. H. اگیانپن a-gyān-pan, s. m. Ignorance, fool- ishness, stupidity, simplicity.

اگیانتا a-gyānatā अज्ञानता S̱. s. f. See اگیانپن a-gyān-pan.

اگیاني a-gyānī S̱. adj. See اگیان a-gyān.

اگیاکاري aggyā-kārī S̱. or āgyā-kārī (for आज्ञाकारी ājnyā-kārī) adj. Acting according to order, obedient.
