سوگيانه sogyāna P. s. m. Mourning clothes.

سگيان सज्ञान sa-gyān S adj. With knowledge; knowing, intelligent, wise.

سگيان सुज्ञान su-gyān S s. m. Wisdom, intelli- gence, sagacity.

سگياني sa-gyān-ī S̱. adj. Wise, intelligent.

نگياني ni-gyān-ī S̱. adj. (dakh.) Weak in mind, imprudent: see غبي g̠ẖabī.

گيالي gayālī S̱. (गया City so named, and आलय House) s. m. A class of Gayā Brāh- mans, who officiate in certain religious cere- monies performed by pilgrims at that place.

گيان gyān S̱. (ज्ञान r. ज्ञा Know) s. m. 1. Know- ledge, understanding, intelligence, intellect, knowing. 2. Knowledge of a specifick and re- ligious kind, which tends to exempt the soul from further transmigration. گيان دوڙانا gyān dauṛānā, To meditate deeply.

گيانوان gyān-wān ज्ञानवान् S̱. adj. Intelligent, knowing.

گيانونتا gyān-wantā S̱. adj. (dakh.) Knowing, in- telligent.

گياني gyān-ī ज्ञानी S̱. 1. adj. Wise, intelligent, judicious, knowing. 2. s. m. A sage, one pos- sessing religious wisdom or گيان gyān, q. v. sign. 2. an astrologer, a fortuneteller.

گياه giyāh P s. f. Grass, straw, green herbage.
