رسکپور raskapūr S̱. (रसकर्पूर i. e. रस Quick- silver, and कर्पूर Camphor, from its resem- blance to this drug) s. m. Corrosive sublimate, or a preparation of mercury similar to it, but perhaps milder; at least, if we may trust to the dose assigned by Eastern physicians, as stated in the Maḵẖzanu-l-adwiya, i. e. from 1 3/4 to 3 1/2 grains. To prepare it, quicksilver is triturated with red bole (see گيرو), marine salt, and a substance containing vitriolick acid. The Bhāva Prakāsa orders alum, the Maḵẖzanu-l-adwiya vitriol of zinc or copper; but the Sukha- bodha directs sulphur: and, in the last case, the mass is to be moistened with the juice of the bark of the amrā-tree (Spondias mangifera). It is then sublimed in close earthen vessels.

نسکپٿ niskapaṭ S̱. (निष्कपट from निर् prep. and कपट Fraud) adj. Without fraud or deceit; open, artless, sincere, honest.

پکپن pakpan S̱. (from पक्व) s. m. Ripeness, cun- ning, expertness.

کپ کپي kap-kapī S̱. (from कम्प) s. f. Shivering, trembling, quaking, perturbation.

کپلا कपिला kapilā S s. f. A brown-coloured cow.

کپنا kapnā S̱. 1. v. n. (कम्पन) To shiver, to tremble, quake, quiver. 2. adj. Trembling.

کپوت kapūt S̱. (Sans. कुपुत्र) s. m. A bad or degenerate son.

کپوت कपोत kapot S s. m. A pigeon, dove.

کپوتي kapūt-ī S̱. (Sans. कौपुत्री) s. f. Degeneracy.

کپور kapūr S̱. (Sans. कर्पूर and Arab. کافور) s. m. Camphor. Also, name of a flower. S̱. H. کپورکچري kapūr-kacharī, s. f. Name of a medicine.

کپوري kapūr-ī S̱. (from कर्पूर) A kind of betel- leaf so called.

کپول कपोल kapol S s. m. The cheek. کپول گينڐوا kapol-genḍuʼā, s. m. A small pillow of a circular shape to rest the cheek upon.

کپي kapī S̱. (Sans. कपि) s. m. A monkey. ¶ kuppī (Sans. कुतुप) s. f. A vial, a skin, a leathern bottle.

کپٿ कपट kapaṭ S 1. adj. Designing, insin- cere. 2. s. f. Spite, rancour, adulteration, fraud, trick, deceit, subterfuge. کپٿ روپ دهاري कपटरूपधारी kapaṭ-rūp-dhārī or کپٿ ويشي कपटवेषी kapaṭ-wesh̤ī, A hy- pocrite.
