آٿا āṭā H s. m. Flour, meal, farina.

آٿار ās̤ār A s. m. plur. (of اٿر) Signs, marks, traces, impressions, vestiges, effects; histories, tradi- tions, memorable events; the traditions of Mu- ḥammad.

اراٿا arrāṭā H s. m. A loud and prolonged sound (as from the discharge of artillery or the fall of a building).

ارسٿا arsaṭṭā H s. m. 1. Guess, conjecture, va- luation, appraisement. 2. A mediator, a broker.

اشٿانگ अष्टांग अष्ट Eight, and अंग Mem- ber ash̤ṭāng S. Eight parts of man, viz. the hands, feet, thighs, breast, eyes, head, words and mind. اشٿانگ پرنام ash̤ṭāng-praṇām, s. m. Prostration, in salutation or adoration, so as to touch the ground with those eight parts.

اشٿسدهہ अष्टसिद्धि ash̤ṭa-siddhi S The eight siddhi, the name of a superiour order of beings, a personification of the powers and laws of na- ture. (When they are subjected to the will by holiness and austerities, whatever the fancy de- sires may be obtained; universal sovereignty may be acquired, and implicit obedience to any com- mands enforced; the magnitude, weight, or le- vity of the body may be increased or diminished to an indefinite degree; and, it may be rendered invisible and transported in an instant to any part of the universe).
