ان پڙها an-paṛhā S̱. adj. Unread, illiterate, unin- formed.

اپڙنا upaṛnā S̱. (उत् and r. पट Go) v. n. To be rooted out, to be pulled out, to be skinned.

اپڙنا upaṛnā H v. n. To be imprinted with the mark of any thing.

اڙوس پڙوس aṛos paṛos S̱. (see پڙوس) s. m. Neigh- bourhood.

بن پڙنا ban-paṛnā H v. n. To succeed, to answer, to suit, to come to pass.

تهپڙي thapṛī H s. f. The clapping of hands. تهپڙي بجانا thapṛī-bajānā, To clap the hands. تهپڙي مارنا thapṛī mārnā, To damn, to hoot.

تڙپڙي taṛpaṛī H s. f. Flutter, palpitation.

جهونپڙي jhompṛī H s. f. A cottage, a hut.

جهوپڙي jhopṛī H s. f. See جهونپڙي jhompṛī.

سنپڙنا saṅpaṛnā S̱. (सम् and r. पत् Fall) v. n. (dakh.) To be seized, caught, or involved.

سپڙنا sapaṛnā S̱. (सम् and r. पत् Fall) v. n. (dakh.) To be taken or caught, or involved, or seized, or comprised.

لالي پڙنا lāle paṛnā S̱. To be extremely desirous and unable fully to express oneʼs wishes. Mīr says:-- اس اسيري کي نه کوٴي اي صبا پالي پڙي ايک نظرگل ديکهني کي بهي همين لالي پڙي Is asīrī ke na koʼī, ai ṣabā! pāle paṛe; yak naz̤ar gul dekhne ke bhī hameṅ lāle paṛe. Oh zephyr! may no one fall into such bonds as these; I long to distraction for one look of the rose.

لوپڙي lopṛī लोप्त्री S̱. s. m. 1. A lump of any thing moist. 2. A poultice composed of flour, turmerick, and oil or clarified butter.

لي پڙنا le-paṛnā S̱. v. a. 1. To lie with, coire. 2. To involve another in oneʼs disgrace.

ليپڙي līpṛī H s. f. 1. A rag. 2. A small turband.
