مـﮩا پرلي महाप्रलय mahā-pralai S or -pralaya, s. m. 1. A destruction of the world, occurring after every period of 4,320,000,000 years. 2. A total destruction of the universe, happening after a period commensurate with the life of Brahmā, or 100 years, each day of which is equal to the period first stated, and each night of which is of similar duration; at the expira- tion of this term, the seven Lokas or divisions of the universe, with the saints, gods and Brah- mā himself, are annihilated.

مـﮩابت mahābat A (from هيب) s. f. Majesty, greatness, reverence, fear, dread, awe.

مـﮩابهارت महाभारत mahā-bhārat S s. m. 1. A grand epick poem by Vyāsadeva, containing an account of the dissensions and wars of the Kurus and Pāṇḍus, two great collateral branches of the house of Bhārat, so called from Bharat its founder. 2. The great war of the descen- dants of Bharat.
