اهليه ahliya A s. f. A wife.

اولين awwalīn A adj. plur. (of اوّل) The first, the former; the ancients.

اوليٰٰ aulạ̄ A adj. compar. (of ولي) Better, best.

اوليٰٰ ūlạ̄ A adj. f. (of اول) First, principal, best.

باسليق bāsalīḳ G (Gr. basilikh) s. f. The great vein in the arm, vena basilica.

بالين bālīn P s. f. A pillow.

بالکليه bi-l-kulliya A adv. See بالکل bi-l-kull.

باولينا bāʼolenā S̱. s. m. Name of a defect in horses.

بلاٴين لينا balāʼeṅ lenā A. S̱. To draw the hands over the head of another in token of taking all his misfortunes upon oneʼs self. (Generally practised by women).

بليالينا balaiyā lenā A. S̱. To draw oneʼs hands over the head of another in token of taking his mis- fortunes on oneʼs self. See بلاٴين لينا.

بليله balela P s. m. A fruit, the belleric myrobalan. See S̱. بهيڙا baheṛā.

بليلوٿن billī-loṭan S̱. (from بلي A cat, and لوٿن Tum- bling, rolling) s. m. Valerian.

بلينڐا balenḍā H s. m. 1. A whirlwind. 2. A ridge- pole (of a cottage).

تاليف tālīf A (inf. ii. of الفت) s. f. 1. Con- necting, uniting in friendship, reconciling. 2. Composition, compilation (of a book, &c.). تاليف کرنا tālīf karnā, To compile, compose (a book, &c.).
