آبله ābila P s. m. A blister. آبله پا ābila-pā, adj. Having blisters on the feet. آبله پاٴي ābila-pā-ī, s. f. The having blisters on the feet. آبله فرنگ ābila-i-farang, s. m. The French pox, a bubo.

آله āla A s. m. Same as آلت ālat, q. v.

آلها ālhā H n. prop. Name of a Hindū soldier and poet, from whom a species of poetry takes its name.

ابله ablah A (from بله Heb. Shook; hence, wavered from mental imbecility, was old or worn out) adj. Foolish, silly, ignorant, bashful.

اجله ajilla A s. plur. (of جلیل jalīl or اجل ajall) Illustrious men.

ادام الله adāma-llāh A May God preserve (him).

ادله adilla A s. plur. (of دلیل dalīl) Proofs, in- dications, arguments.

ازاله izāla A (inf. iv. of زول) s. m. Removal, abolition; (in grammar) elision of a letter or of a vowel point from a word.

استحاله istiḥāla A (inf. x. of حول) s. m. Ac- counting or being impossible or absurd: changing of state.

استغفرال‍له astag̠ẖfiru-llāh A I entreat forgiveness of. God. (An expression signifying negation, God forbid!).

الحمدلله al-ḥamdu lillāhi A God be praised.

العظمت لله al-aﻌz̤amatu lillāhi A Great is God! (an ejaculation expressive of surprise, fear, de- nial, &c.).

الله allāh A s. m. God. الله اکبر allāhu akbar,

المنت لله alminnatu lillāhi A Praise to God! good God! (an ejaculation expressive of surprise, fear, denial, &c.).

اله ilāh A s. m. God. الہا ilāh-ā, O God!
