اصطلاح iṣt̤ilāh A (inf. viii. of صلح) s. f. A phrase, idiom, technical term, figure in rhetorick. (Pl. اصطلاحات).

اصطلاحي iṣt̤ilāḥ-ī A adj. Idiomatical, phraseological, technical. اصطلاحي معني iṣt̤ilāḥī maﻌnī, Idiomatical meaning or acceptance.

اصلاح iṣlāḥ A (inf. iv. of ضلح Heb. and Ch. Prospered, was fit) s. f. Correction, amend- ment, emendation. اصلاح کرنا iṣlāḥ karnā, To correct, to amend.

سلاح silāḥ A (from سلح Heb. To send forth, to stretch out, to extend the arm for the purpose of attack) s. f. Arms, implements of war, ar- mour. سلاح خانه silāḥ-ḵẖāna, An armoury, arsenal. سلاح دار silāḥ-dār, or سلاح بردار silāḥ- bardār, An armour-bearer. سلاح ساز silāḥ-sāz, An armourer.

صلاح ṣalāḥ A (from صلح Heb. To prosper) 1. s. f. Peace, concord, treaty. 2. Rectitude, in- tegrity, goodness of state or condition, prosperity. 3. Advice, counsel. 4. adj. Advisable. صلاح کرني ṣalāḥ karnī, To consult, advise, to take counsel together.

صلاحيت ṣalāḥiyat A (from صلح) s. f. Virtue, chastity, integrity, goodness, probity, sanctity.

فلاح falāḥ A (from فلح Heb. and Chald. To cut, to plough, to blossom as a flower: Cant. 4, 3. to prosper) s. f. Prosperity, happiness, safety, refuge.

لاحق lāḥiḳ A part. act. (of لحق) Reaching, over- taking, adhering, adjoining, pertaining. adj. Adjoined; (substantively) An appendage.

ملاح mallāḥ A (adj. superl. of ملح Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. 1. A boatman, a sailor, mariner, waterman. 2. A manufacturer of salt.

ملاحت malāḥat A (from ملح) s. f. 1. Being salt. 2. Elegancy. 3. Beauty, excellence.

ملاحد malāḥid A s. plur. (of ملحد) Infidels, atheists, hereticks.

ملاحظه mulāḥaz̤a A (inf. III. of لحظ Heb. ) s. m. Looking at, contemplating, consideration, (often used for reading), view, notice, regard.

ملاحي mallāḥ-ī A. s. f. The business of a mallāḥ, q. v., navigation, seamanship.
