برقع burḳaﻌ A (or برقعه burḳaʼaﻌ) s. m. A dress or kind of veil with eye-holes to it, covering the whole body from head to foot. برقع پوش burḳaﻌ- posh, One who wears a burḳaﻌ.

بقعه buḳʼaﻌ A s. m. A house, a place. P.A. بقفا ba-ḳafā, In the back or rear. P. A. بقلت ba-ḳillat, With scarcity.

قعب ḳaﻌb A (Heb. ) s. m. 1. A cavern, a pit, a furrow, a cup. 2. A hidden meaning of a speech.

قعر ḳaﻌr A s. m. A gulf, an abyss, the bottom (of a well, &c.). قعردريا ḳaﻌr-i-daryā, 1. The depth of a river. 2. The sea.

قعود ḳuʼuﻌd A s. m. The act of sitting, sitting down.

متوقع mutawaḳḳiﻌ A (part. act. V. of وقع) adj. Expecting, expected.

مرقع muraḳḳaﻌ A (part. pass. II. of رقع) adj. Clothed in rags, patched, mended; (subst.) or

مقعد maḳʼaﻌd A (noun of place from قعد) s. f. 1. A place to sit on. 2. The hips. 3. The anus, podex.

موقع mauḳaﻌ A (noun of place of وقع) s. m. A place where any thing happens, a fit place, a place, situation; a contingency.

واقع wāḳiﻌ A part. act. (of وقع Heb. ) Be- falling, happening, occurring, arriving, appearing; situate. Plur. واقعات wāḳiʼāﻌt, s. f. Ac- cidents, events, occurrences, intelligence. واقع مين wāḳiﻌ meṅ, In fact, really.

واقعه wāḳiʼaﻌ A (from وقع) s. m. 1. Event, oc- currence, incident, intelligence, news. 2. Death. واقعه نويس wāḳiʼaﻌ-navīs, An intelligencer.

واقعي wāḳiʼīﻌ A. adv. Really, truly, verily, in fact, certainly, actually. adj. True, real.
