آبنوسي ābnūs-ī P adj. Made of ebony.

آرسي āras-ī आलस्यी S̱. adj. Idle, lazy, in- dolent, inactive.

آرسي ārsī H s. f. A mirror (particularly, a mirror on the thumb). H.S̱. ارسیلي نینا arsīle nainā, adj. Having weak eyes, with eyes as if just awake.

آسمان āsmān P (comp. of آس ās, A millstone, and مانند Like) s. m. The sky, the firmament, heaven, the celestial orb. آسمان پر قدم رکهنا āsmān par ḳadam rakhnā, To give oneʼs self airs, to aspire, to be vain. آسمان پر کهینچنا

آسماني āsmān-ī P adj. Heavenly, celestial, from heaven, sky-coloured, cerulean, azure. آسماني تیروغیره āsmānī tīr wa g̠ẖairah, An arrow, &c. shot in the air. S. اسمرت स्मृति (r. समृ Remember) ismirti or smr̤iti, s. f. The Hindū law.

آسمنتات आसमन्तात् आ, सम् and अन्त End āsamantāt S. adv. All around, on every side; wholly, altogether.

آسن āsin आश्विन S̱. s. m. The sixth Hindū month, in which the moon is full near the stars in the head of Aries. September--October. S. آسن (असन or) आसन āsan, s. m. The name of a tree on which the tasar silk-worm feeds. (Terminalia alata tomentosa). S. اسن अशन (r. अश Eat) asan, s. m. Eating, food: also, the tree last described.

آسني āsanī S̱. s. f. A small carpet, &c. on which Hindūs sit at prayer. See آسن आसन.

آسو आसव āsav S s. m. Rum, spirit distilled from sugar or molasses.

آسوده āsūda P adj. At rest, quiet, tranquil, glutted, satiated, satisfied, at ease, contented. آسوده حال āsūda-ḥāl, Full, at ease, affluent, in easy circumstances, comfortable, &c. Plur. آسودگان āsūdagān, Those at rest or ease, the quiet. H. A. اسوقت is-waḳt, This time, now. H. A. اسوقت us-waḳt, That time, then.

آسودگي āsūda-gī P s. f. Quiet, peace, content.
