تشرع tasharruﻌ A (inf. v. of شر) s. m. 1. The ordinances of a prophet, particularly the laws of Muhammad. 2. Acting agreeable to those ordinances.

تضرع taẓarruﻌ A (inf. v. of ضرع) s. m. 1. Suppli. cation. 2. Lamenting.

جرعه jurʼaﻌ A s. m. One draught, a drop. جرعه کش jurʼaﻌ-kash, Drinker.

رعايا riʼāﻌyā A or prop. raʼāﻌyā, s. plur. (of رعيت) Subjects, tenants, common people, peasantry.

رعايت riʼāﻌyat A (from رعي Heb. To lead to pasture, to feed, to protect, to observe) s. f. 1. Observance, respect, regard, attention, ho- nour. 2. Kindness, favour. 3. Guarding, pro- tecting, taking care (of), paying attention. 4. Remission, indulgence, favour. رعايت کرنا

رعايتي riʼāﻌyat-ī A. s. m. Favoured person, a protégé.

رعب ruﻌb A (or raﻌb) s. m. Terrifying, fear, ter- rour, trembling with fear; awe.

رعد raﻌd A (Heb. Tremour) s. m. Thunder.

رعشه raﻌsha A (Heb. Trembling, concussion) s. m. A tremour, shaking, the shaking palsy. رعشه دار raﻌsha-dār, adj. Palsied, having the palsy.

رعنا raﻌnā A (from رعن To be relaxed or languid. Heb. To be green, to flourish) adj. 1. Moving gracefully. 2. Beautiful, lovely, grace- ful, delicate.

رعناٴي raﻌnā-ī A. s. f. 1. Graceful gait. 2. Beauty, loveliness, grace.

رعونت ruʼūﻌnat A (from رعن) s. f. Pride, haugh- tiness.

رعيت raʼaﻌiyat A (prop. raʼīﻌyat, from رعي Heb. ) s. f. A subject or the subjects, tenant. (Plur. رعايا). رعيت پرور raʼaﻌiyat-parwar, Protector of subjects. رعيت پروري raʼaﻌiyat- parwar-ī, s. f. Protection of subjects. رعيت نواز raʼaﻌiyat-nawāz, Cherisher of subjects.

رعيتي raʼaﻌiyat-ī A. s. f. Subjection, tenancy.

زرع zarﻌ A s. m. Sowing, seed sown, a sown field.
