ذو ẕū A A lord, a master, (in compos. implying) possessed of, or endowed with; as, ذوالجلال ẕu-l-jalāl, Possessed of glory, glorious. ذوالفقار ẕu-l-faḳār, A sword possessed by Muḥammad, and afterwards by Aﻌlī. ذوالمنن ẕu-l-minan, Possessor of obligations (epithet of the Deity). ذوذنب ẕū-ẕanab, adj. Tailed, having a tail (a star).

ذواق ẕauwāḳ A (adj. sup. of ذوق) s. m. A taster.

ذوانب ẕawānib A s. plur. (of ذنب) Tails.

ذوق ẕauḳ A s. m. Taste, delight, joy, pleasure, voluptuousness. ذوق سي ẕauḳ se, adv. With pleasure, willingly, with all my heart.

ذوي ẕawī A (plur. in obj. case of ذو ẕū, q. v.) Having, possessing, endowed with.

مبذول mabẕūl A (part. pass. of بذل) adj. Ex- pended, bestowed.

مجذوب majẕūb A (part. pass. of جذب) adj. Attracted, drawn, abstracted.

مجذور majẕūr A (part. pass. of جذر Square root, Heb. and Chald. A part, segment) s. m. Square (in arithmetick).

مجذوم majẕūm A (part. pass. of جذم Heb. and Chald. ) adj. Leprous.

محذوف maḥẕūf A part. pass. (of حذف) Taken away (as, a syllable from a word).

مخذول maḵẖẕūl A (part. pass. of خذل Heb. ) adj. Contemned, despicable.

معذور maﻌẕūr A (part. pass. of عذر) adj. 1. Ex- cused, excusable. 2. Disappointed.
