اجهالنا ujhālnā S̱. (caus. of اجهلنا) v. a. To pour from one vessel into another.

الجهانا uljhānā H (trans. of الجهنا) v. a. To en- tangle, to ravel (as, thread), to involve, busy or engage (in difficulties, business, &c.), to em- broil.

بجهانا bajhānā H (trans. of بجهنا bajhnā) v. a. To entangle, to insnare (as game), to entrap.

بجهانا bujhānā H (trans. of بجهنا bujhnā) v. a. To extinguish, to put out, quench; to damp, de- press or deject (the spirits). پياس بجهانا piyās bujhānā, To quench thirst.

بجهانا bujhānā S̱. (caus. of بوجهنا) v. a. To ex- plain, to make to comprehend, to demonstrate, to push as with argument, to persuade, assure, instruct, signify, to cause to believe.

جهال jhāl H s. m. 1. Sharpness, heat, fieriness (as, of pepper), acrimony. 2. A large basket. 3. Joining or soldering of metals.

جهالر jhālar H s. f. Fringe. جهالردار jhālar-dār, adj. Fringed.

جهالرا jhālrā झर S̱. s. m. A spring (of water).

جهالنا jhālnā H v. a. 1. To season (pickles). 2. To polish, to clean (plate). 3. To solder.

جهاما jhāmā झामक S̱. s. m. Pumice-stone, bricks burnt to cinder. See جهانوان jhāṅwāṅ.

جهانجها jhānjhā H s. m. The name of an insect, caterpillar, cabbage-worm.

جهانجهـ jhānjh H s. f. 1. Anger, passion, pet, rage. 2. Stillness, dreariness. 3. Impatience (of hunger, or in a horse expecting his corn).

جهانجهـ jhānjh झर्झर S̱. s. f. Cymbal.

جهانجهي jhānjhī H s. f. A kind of play. (Chil- dren in the month of Āsin go about at night, dancing, begging, and carrying on their heads earthen pots perforated on all sides, within which lamps are kept burning).

جهانجهيا jhānjh-iyā H adj. Passionate.
