اجابت ijābat A (inf. iv. of جوب) s. f. Answering (of prayer or of a petition), consent, appro- bation, compliance.

اجات अ and जात Kind, sort a-jāt S. adj. Expelled from his cast (a man).

اجاتي ajāt-ī S s. m. A man who has lost his cast.

اجاره ijāra A s. m. 1. Hire, rent, a privilege or income of variable amount sold or let for a fixed sum. 2. A farm. A. P. اجاره دار ijāra-dār, s. m. A farmer of land or of revenue: one who has purchased the la- bour of another: the holder of a monopoly.

اجازت ijāzat A (inf. iv. of جوز) s. f. Permission, leave, dispensation, sanction, commands, orders. اجازت خواه ijāzat-ḵẖẉāh, adj. Asking per- mission. اجازت دینا ijāzat denā, To permit.

احتیاجات iḥtiyājāt A s. plur. (of احتیاج) Requi- site things, wants, necessaries.

اخراجات iḵẖrājāt A s. m. plur. (of اخراج) Ex- penses, disbursement.

استجابت istijābat A (inf. x. of جوب Heb. and Ch. ) s. f. Answering, hearing and accepting (prayer).

اشجار ashjār A s. plur. (of شجر) Trees.

اعجاز iﻌjāz A (inf. iv. of عجز) s. m. Disappoint- ment; miracle, wonder, astonishment, amaze- ment, surprise. اعجاز مسیحائي iﻌjāz-i-masīḥā-ī, A cure as miraculous as the cures of the Mes- siah, a miraculous cure.

امرجاد a-marjād अमर्य्यादा S̱. s. f. Indignity, dishonour, slight, affront.

ايجاب ījāb A (inf. iv. of وجوب) s. m. 1. Ren- dering necessary. 2. (in logick) Affirmation
