آرتهيا arthīyā S̱. (r. अर्थ Seek, beg) s. m. A fol- lower, a client, a protegee, a person recom- mended.

اتهل athal S̱. (अ and स्थल A place) adj. Un- stable, unsteady, wavering.

اتهلا uthlā H adj. Shallow.

اتهلانا uthlānā H (caus. of اتهلنا) v. a. To cause to turn over or overset.

اتهلنا uthalnā H v. n. To turn over, to overset. اتهلنا پتهلنا uthalnā puthalnā, the same.

اتهوا अथ Now, &c. and वा Or atha-vā S. conj. Or. S. اتي इति (r. इ Go) itī, a particle implying Cause, manifestation, reference, something ad- ditional, conclusion: and may be translated by Thus therefore, lo, behold, et cetera, so says, finis, the end; in which latter sense it is usually written like زیاده چه in Persian and تم in Arabic, at the end of a book, letter, &c.

ارتهي arthī H s. f. A bier.

ارتهي अर्थी arth-ī S adj. Self-interested, de- signing.

اساتهي asāth-ī S̱. (from اساتهہ) adj. Upstart, stran- ger, unknown person.

استهي अस्थि asthi S s. m. A bone. S. اسي असत्यी (from अ and सत्य True) a-satyī, adj. Liar, untrue. ¶ असती (from अ and सती Virtuous wife) a-satī, adj. Disloyal or unchaste (a wife).

التهنا ulathnā H v. n. To undulate, to be agi- tated (as the ocean by storms).

اپنتهي a-panth-ī S̱. adj. One who has lost his way, devious; heretical.

اگهورپنتهي aghor-panth-ī अघोरपथी S̱. adj. (used substantively) An order of religious men- dicants professing اگهورپنتهہ aghor-panth; (they eat every thing, however filthy, even human carcasses; hence) a gross or filthy feeder.

بان پرستهـ वानप्रस्थ bānaprastha S s. m. One who retires from the world with his wife and family, and passes his life in devotion in the fo- rests; an anchoret or hermit. See آسرم.

بتهوا bathūʼā वास्तूक S̱. s. m. A kind of greens or potherbs (Chenopodium album).
