اتفاق ittifāḳ A (inf. viii. of وفق) s. m. 1. Agree- ment, concord, concurrence, friendship, conspi- racy, collusion, similarity of disposition. 2. Chance, fortune, accident, incident, success, op- portunity. 3. Equality. 4. Probability. اتفاق حسنه ittifāḳ-i-ḥasana, or اتفاقات حسنه ittifāḳāt- i-ḥasana, s. m. Unexpected good fortune, agree- able accidents, good luck. اتفاق کرنا ittifāḳ karna, To accord or agree together, to concur, to unite, to conspire, to happen. اتفاق هونا itti- fāḳ honā, To happen, to be agreed.

اتفاقات ittifāḳāt A s. m. plur. (of اتفاق) Acci- dents, successes.

اتفاقاً ittifāḳaṉ A adv. Accidentally, by chance.

اتفاقي ittifāḳ-ī A adj. 1. Accidental, casual, fortuitous. 2. Agreeing, concurring.

اختفا iḵẖtifā A (inf. viii. of خفا Heb. He concealed) s. m. Act of hiding, concealing, covering.

ارتفاع irtifāﻌ A (inf. viii. of رفع) s. m. Eleva- tion, exaltation, ascent, height.

استفاده istifāda A (inf. x. of فایده) s. m. 1. Seeking gain. 2. Profit, advantage, attainment.

استفتا istiftā A (inf. x. of فتويٰ) s. m. Consulting (a lawyer or learned man).

استفراغ istifrāg̠ẖ A (inf. x. of فراغت) s. m. Vo- miting.

استفسار istifsār A (inf. x. of فسر Heb. He ex- plained) s. m. Searching for information, asking an explanation, inquiry, interrogation. استفسار کرنا istifsār karnā, v. a. To inquire, interro- gate, demand an explanation, ask.

التفات iltifāt A (inf. viii. of لفت Heb. He bent, inclined) s. f. Friendship, kindness, obli- gation, courtesy, respect, regard, attention; an apostrophe (in rhetorick). التفات کرنا iltifāt karnā, To attend to, to have regard or respect.

انتفاع intifāﻌ A (inf. viii. of نفع) s. m. Profit, advantage.

اکتفا iktifā A (inf. viii. of کفایت) s. f. Suffi- ciency, contentment. اکتفاکرنا iktifā karnā, To be or rest satisfied.

تفاخر tafāḵẖur A (inf. vi. of فخر) s. m. Boasting, vaunt.

تفارق tafāruḳ A (inf. vi. of فرق) s. m. Division, separation.
