برهم bar-ham P adj. 1. Confused, entangled, spoiled. 2. Angry, vexed, sullen. برهم درهم bar- ham darham, adj. Entangled, confused, topsy- turvy. برهم زدن barham-zadan, s. m. Confusing, mixing together, striking together. برهم زده bar- bam-zada, Confused, convulsed, turned topsy- turvy. برهم زدن barham-zan, An exciter of quar- rels, an embroiler. برهم زني barham-zan-ī, s. f. 1. Embroiling, confusing. 2. Interference, pre- vention, putting a stop to.

برهم ब्रह्म brahm S or brahma, God, the cause and essence of the world from which all things are supposed to proceed and to which they return. برهم استر brahm-astra, s. m. A fabled weapon, which, consecrated by a formula addressed to Brahmā, deals infallible destruction to those against whom it is discharged. برهمبهوج brahm- bhoj, Feeding of Brāhmaṇs. برهم ديت brahma- daitya, An apparition, Satan, ghost. برهمراتر ब्रह्मरात्रि brahma-rātri, s. f. برهما ब्रह्मा brahmā S s. m. The Deity in the character of Creator, or matter personified. S. برهمانڐ ब्रह्मांड (ब्रह्म Brahm, and अंड an egg, to which the world is likened) brahmānḍ, s. m. 1. The globe, the world. (In creation there are said to have been innumerable Brah- mānḍas). 2. The top of the head.

برهملوک ब्रह्मलोक brahma-lok S s. m. The re- gion or heaven of Brahmā.
