آب جاري āb-i-jārī P s. Running water; a stream, a rivulet, a current, tears flowing.

آب داري āb-dār-ī P s. f. The having water; the brilliancy (of gems), temper or polish (of steel), sharpness (of a sword).

آبکاري āb-kār-ī P s. f. The business of a water- carrier, &c., the business of a distiller, distillation, a duty levied on distilleries.

آبیاري āb-yārī P s. f. Irrigation, watering.

آتش پاره ātash-pāra P s. m. A spark, a lighted coal; a beautiful person; an exciter of quarrels; quarrelsome.

آدهاري ādhār-i S̱. (in compos.) An eater; as, دوده آدهاري dūdh-ādhārī, One who lives on milk. ماس آدهاري mās-ādhārī, Flesh-eater, carnivorous.

آزاري āzār-ī P adj. Sick, a sick person.

آلاپ چاري ālāp-chārī S̱. s. f. The act of tuning the voice previous to singing.

آواره āwāra P adj. Vagabond, wanderer, disso- lute. آواره هونا āwāra honā, To wander, to be distressed, to be oppressed, to be miserable. آواره کرنا āwāra karnā, To make a wanderer, to expel, to harass. آواره گردي āwāra-gard-ī, s. f. Vagrancy, wandering about. (Plur. آوارگان).

آچاري आचारी āchārī S adj. Practising (what is good), strict in the observance of reli- gious ceremonies.
