آناکاتي ānākānī S̱. (अनाकर्णन from अन् and r. आकर्ण Listen to) s. f. Turning a deaf ear, overlooking, winking at, purposely neglecting.

آواتي āwātī S̱. (from آنا To come, q. v.) s. f. Ap- proach, advance; the coming of an army, the approach of a friend; the season in which mer- chandise is expected.

اتفاق ittifāḳ A (inf. viii. of وفق) s. m. 1. Agree- ment, concord, concurrence, friendship, conspi- racy, collusion, similarity of disposition. 2. Chance, fortune, accident, incident, success, op- portunity. 3. Equality. 4. Probability. اتفاق حسنه ittifāḳ-i-ḥasana, or اتفاقات حسنه ittifāḳāt- i-ḥasana, s. m. Unexpected good fortune, agree- able accidents, good luck. اتفاق کرنا ittifāḳ karna, To accord or agree together, to concur, to unite, to conspire, to happen. اتفاق هونا itti- fāḳ honā, To happen, to be agreed.

اتفاقات ittifāḳāt A s. m. plur. (of اتفاق) Acci- dents, successes.

اتفاقاً ittifāḳaṉ A adv. Accidentally, by chance.

اتفاقي ittifāḳ-ī A adj. 1. Accidental, casual, fortuitous. 2. Agreeing, concurring.

اتقا ittiḳā A (inf. viii. of وقي) s. m. Avoiding, shunning; abstaining from evil; piety.

اتقیا atḳiyā A s. plur. (of تقي) Religious men, de- votees.

اتل atul S̱. (अ and तुल्य To be weighed) adj. Unweighed, that cannot be weighed.

اتم atamm A adj. compar. (of تام) More or most perfect.

اتم उत्तम uttam S adj. Excellent, best, princi- pal, first, chief.

اتمام itmām A (inf. iv. of تمام) s. m. Perfecting, perfection, completion, accomplishment. اتمام کرنا itmām karnā, To complete, accomplish, perfect. اتمام هونا itmām honā, To be completed, &c.

اتمان ātmāṅ S̱. s. f. The soul: see آتما ātmā. آنا آتمان ānā ātmāṅ (for अनात्मा) The reverse of soul. S. آتمج आत्मज (आतमन् Self, body, and ज Born, from r. जन Be produced) ātmaj, s. m. A son. S̱. اتن (अ and तनु Body, q. d. Incorporeal) atan, n. prop. Kāmdeʼo, the god of love among the Hindūs.

اتنا itnā H adj. m. As much as this, thus much, so much, so many. اتني مین itne meṅ, In the mean time, mean-while, mean-time.
