آفات āfāt A s. plur. (of آفت) Calamities, mis- fortunes, evils, dangers.

آفاق āfāḳ A s. plur. (of افق) Horizons, quarters of the heaven or of the earth, regions.

آفت āfat A s. f. Calamity, misfortune, wretch- edness. (Sans. आपत्). آفت رسیده āfat- rasīda, or آفت زده āfat-zada, Overtaken or oppressed by calamity; unfortunate, wretched.
