آتر आतुर आ and r. तुर Hasten ātur S. adj. Agitated, restless, distressed, afflicted.

ابوتراب abū turāb A n. prop. Ali, the son-in-law of Muhammad.

اتل atul S̱. (अ and तुल्य To be weighed) adj. Unweighed, that cannot be weighed.

اتنگ उत्तुंग ut-tung S adj. High, lofty, tall.

استت astut स्तुति S̱. s. f. Praise, eulogy, glo- rification, an anthem, hymn.

استخوان ustuḵẖẉān P (Sans. अस्थि) s. m. A bone, the stone of fruit, &c.

استره ustura P s. m. A razor. S̱. استري 1. istrī or istirī (for स्त्री) s. f. A woman or female in general; a wife. 2. istrī (r. स्तृ Spread out) s. A smoothing iron. استري کرنا istrī karnā, v. a. To iron or smooth with an iron.

استوار ustuwār P adj. Firm, strong, stable, powerful; brave, resolute, solid.

استواري ustuwār-ī P s. f. Firmness, stability, strength; resolution, constancy.

اسنتشٿ असन्तुष्ट a-santush̤ṭ S adj. Discontented, unsatisfied, displeased.

اشتر ushtur P (Sans. उष्ट़) s. m. A camel.

اشتلم ushtulum P s. m. Fierceness, violence, taking any thing by force, injustice. adj. Firm.

العظمت لله al-aﻌz̤amatu lillāhi A Great is God! (an ejaculation expressive of surprise, fear, de- nial, &c.).

المنت لله alminnatu lillāhi A Praise to God! good God! (an ejaculation expressive of surprise, fear, denial, &c.).

ان کوٿ अन्नकूट अन्न Victuals, and कूट A heap anna-kūṭ S. s. m. A festival celebrated by Hindūs, on the day following the دیوالي dewālī, by offering a large quantity of meats to God.
