ابتلا ibtilā A (inf. viii. of بلا) s. Trial, affliction.

اختلاط iḵẖtilāt̤ A (inf. viii. of خلط Ch. He mixed) s. m. Act of mixing, mixture, confu- sion; intercourse, friendship, conversation.

استلزام istilzām A (inf. x. of لزوم) s. m. 1. Ren- dering necessary. 2. Necessity.

امتلا imtilā A (inf. viii. of ملأ Heb. and Ch. He filled) s. m. Repletion; indigestion.

ايتلاف ītilāf A (inf. viii. of الف) s. m. Fami- liarity, friendship, society, connexion, company, correspondence.

تل شکري til-shakarī S̱. (तिल and शर्करा) s. f. A kind of sweetmeat made of sesame and sugar.

تل چوري tilchūrī तिलचूर्ण S̱. s. f. The name of a sweetmeat.

تل तिल til S s. m. 1. The seed of the Sesa- mum, or name of the plant (Sesamum orientale). 2. A mole on the face. 3. A moment, an in- stant. تلون مين تيل نـﮩين کـﮩنا tiloṅ meṅ tel nahīṅ kahnā, (lit. to say there is no oil in the seeds of Sesamum, is) To say snow is black, to deny the most evident truth.

تلا tillā P. (from طلا) s. m. The golden border of a turband.

تلاداني tillā-dān-ī P. s. f. A housewife or small bag for holding needles, thread, &c.

تلانا tilānā P. (corr. of ترانه) s. m. A kind of song.

تلاوت tilāwat A or talāwat, s. f. Meditation, reading (particularly, the ḳurʼān, as an act of reli- gion).
