اپهلننا uphannā S̱. (उत् and r. फण Move, go) v. n. To boil over.

لد پهندا lad-phandā H s. m. Packing and loading.

پهرپهند pharphand H s. m. Deceit, trick, wickedness.

پهرپهنديا pharphandiyā H adj. Deceitful, trea- cherous, wicked.

پهندا phandā S̱. (r. पश Bind) s. m. 1. A noose, a net, a snare. 2. Perplexity, difficulty.

پهندانا phandānā S̱. (caus. of پهاندنا sign. 1. q. v.) v. a. To cause to jump or leap over.

پهندلانا phandlānā S̱. (see پهاندنا sign. 2.) v. a. To ensnare, to entrap.

پهندنا phandnā S̱. (see پهسنا) v. n. To be impri- soned.

پهنسانا phansānā S̱. (caus. of پهنسنا) v. a. To cause to be ensnared, caught or involved (in), &c. to entrap.

پهنپهنانا phanphanānā S̱. (from फण or फणा) v. n. 1. To hiss (as, a snake). 2. To spring up sud- denly (as, a fast growing plant). 3. To move about briskly (as, a playful child).

پهنکا phankā H s. m. A handful (or, rather, mouth- ful) of any thing eaten by being chucked into the mouth. پهنکا مارنا phankā mārnā, To eat by chucking into the mouth, to chuck food into the mouth. See پهانکنا phānknā.

پهنگا phangā पतंग S̱. s. m. A grashopper.

چاپهند chāphand H s. m. A kind of fishing-net.
