خناق ḵẖunāḳ A (from خنق Heb. ) s. m. The quinsy, suffocation, strangulation.

مناقب manāḳib A s. plur. (of منقبة) Virtues, abilities, &c.

مناقبت munāḳabat A (inf. III. of نقب Chald. and Aram. ) s. f. Virtue, ability, praise.

ناقد nāḳid A (part. act. of نقد Heb. ) s. m. A person whose business it is to examine coin and ascertain its goodness, an assayer. P. A. ناقدري nāḳadr-ī, adj. (dakh. for ناقدردان) Not knowing worth, disregarder of merit.

ناقص nāḳiṣ A (part. act. of نقص) adj. Defective, imperfect, deficient, mutilated, inexpert. ناقص عقل nāḳiṣ-aﻌḳl, adj. Deficient in understanding, foolish, ignorant. ناقص کرنا nāḳiṣ karnā, To mutilate. ناقص هونا nāḳiṣ honā, To want, to fail.

ناقل nāḳil A (part. act. of نقل) s. m. A reporter, reciter, narrator, relater, delineator.

ناقه nāḳa A (from نوق Heb. ) s. f. A she camel. Also, s. m. A camel.

ناقوس nāḳūs A (from نقس Chald. ) s. m. 1. A bell; or, rather, a thin oblong piece of wood, suspended by two strings, used by the eastern Christians to summon the congregation to divine service. 2. A kind of shell blown by Hindūs in divine worship.
