مفاجات mufājāt A (prop. mufājaʼat, inf. III. of فجأ) s. f. Sudden death.

مفاخرت mufāḵẖarat A (inf. III. of فخر) s. f. Boasting, glorying, arrogance.

مفت muft P adv. Gratuitously, gratis, for no- thing, acquired without cost or labour, given away without return or benefit. (substantively) What is useless or unprofitable. مفت بر muft- bar, Taking away for nothing or without making a return. مفت مين muft meṅ, Gratis, for nothing.

مفتر muftar A (part. pass. IV. of فتر) adj. En- feebled, languid, weak.

مفتري muftarī A (part. act. VIII. of فري Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A slanderer, calumniator, false accuser, liar.

مفتقر muftaḳir A (part. act. VIII. of فقر) adj. Empoverished, reduced to poverty.

مفتن mufattin A (part. act. II. of فتن) adj. Trying, tempting, seducing, fascinating (with love). ¶ mufattan (part. pass.) adj. Tempted, tried, deprived of reason, insane.

مفتي muftī A (part. act. IV. of فتو) s. m. A superiour officer among Muhammadans whose decrees are regarded as law, Mufti. مفتي گري muftī-garī, s. f. Office or duty of muftī.

مفرط mufrit̤ A (part. act. IV. of فرط) adj. Exces- sive, vast.

مفسد mufsid A (part. act. IV. of فسد) A seditious person, author of evil, mischiefmaker, mis- chievous, noxious, incendiary. مفسدپن mufsid- pan, s. m. Litigiousness, seditiousness.
