دماغ dimāg̠ẖ A s. m. 1. The brain. دماغ تازه کرنا dimāg̠ẖ tāza karnā, To be pleased. 2. (in Persian, also, damāg̠ẖ) Pride, haughtiness, conceit, spirit, fancy. دماغ چڙهنا damāg̠ẖ chaṛhnā, To be proud with excess of wealth. دماغ کرنا damāg̠ẖ karnā, To be vain, proud, haughty; or rather, to act proudly, &c. دماغ هونا damāg̠ẖ honā, To be vain, haughty, proud. P. دماغي 1. dimāg̠ẖ-ī, adj. Of the brain. 2. da- māg̠ẖ-ī, Vain, frivolous, conceited, proud.

ماگده मागध māgadh S s. m. A bard, a min- strel, whose duty it is to recite the praises of sovereigns, their genealogy and the deeds of their ancestors, in their presence; and to attend on the march of an army, and animate the soldiers
