اجات अ and जात Kind, sort a-jāt S. adj. Expelled from his cast (a man).

اجاتي ajāt-ī S s. m. A man who has lost his cast.

احتیاجات iḥtiyājāt A s. plur. (of احتیاج) Requi- site things, wants, necessaries.

اخراجات iḵẖrājāt A s. m. plur. (of اخراج) Ex- penses, disbursement.

تحفجات tuḥfajāt A. s. pl. (of تحفه) Rarities, cu- riosities, presents.

جات jāt S̱. (जाति r. जन Produce) s. f. 1. (Arab. ذات) Cast, sect, tribe, class, race. 2. Birth, production. جات پانت jāt-pānt, or jāt- pānti, s. f. A pedigree. جاتکرم jāt-karm, s. m. A sacrificial ceremony directed to be performed at the birth of a child.

جات jāt P A termination or affix sometimes added by the moderns to Persian or Arabic words ending in ه to denote the plural; as in ميوه جات Fruits.

جاتري यात्री jātrī S s. m. A pilgrim.

جاتي जाती jātī S s. f. Great flowered jas- mine. (Jasminum grandiflorum). جاتي پهل जातीफल jātī-phal, s. m. Nutmeg: see جائي پهل jāʼe-phal.

جناجات janā-jāt S̱. adv. Man by man, one by one (person).

سجاتي सज्जाति sa-jātī S adj. Of the same sort or species, of the same tribe, cast, or race

مفاجات mufājāt A (prop. mufājaʼat, inf. III. of فجأ) s. f. Sudden death.

مناجات munājāt A (inf. III. of نجو) s. f. Prayer, supplication.

مناجاتي munājāt-ī A. s. One who prays.

ميوجات mewa-jāt P s. plur. (of ميوه) Fruits.
