استطاعت istit̤āaﻌt A (inf. x. of طوع) s. f. 1. Power, possibility. 2. Submitting to, dependence.

اطاعت it̤āʼaﻌt A (inf. iv. of طوع) s. f. Obeying, obedience, submission, obsequiousness, observ- ance, reverence, worshipping. اطاعت کرنا it̤āʼaﻌt karnā, To obey.

اطفا it̤fā A (inf. iv. of طفا Ch. Was extin- guished) s. m. Extinction (of fire).

اطلاع it̤t̤ilāﻌ A (inf. viii. of طلوع) s. f. Manifesting, notice, declaring, investigation, information, informing, knowledge, insight. ¶ it̤lāﻌ (inf. iv. of طلوع) Information. اطلاع کرنا it̤t̤ilāﻌ karnā, To acquaint, inform, apprize.

اطلاق it̤lāḳ A (inf. iv. of طلق) s. m. 1. Setting at liberty; divorcing; disengagedness; freedom. 2. Rendering absolute or universal.

اطمینان it̤mīnān A (inf. iv. of طمأن) s. f. Tran- quillity, rest, repose, quiet, content, security. اطمینان خاطر it̤mīnān-i-ḵẖāt̤ir, Peace of mind.

انقطاع inḳit̤āﻌ A (inf. vii. of قطع) s. m. The being cut or broken off; amputation, extinction, disjunction, separation, failure, adjustment.

بطيخ bit̤t̤īḵẖ A s. m. A muskmelon. P. A. بظاهر ba-z̤āhir, In appearance, on the outside, externally.

بيطار bait̤ār A s. m. A horse doctor, a farrier.

خطاب ḵẖit̤āb A (from خطب) s. m. 1. A title. 2. Conversation, speech, address. خطاب کرنا ḵẖitāb karnā, To address, to accost.

خطابت ḵẖit̤ābat A s. f. Preaching, eloquence, rhetorick.

خطه ḵẖit̤t̤a A s. m. A region, country, territory, district.

رابطه rābit̤a A (part. act. from ربط rabt̤, q. v.) s. m. Whatever serves to bind one thing to another, bond, connexion.

ساقط sāḳit̤ A part. act. (of سقط Heb. To fall, to be quiet) Falling; fallen, vile. ساقط هونا sāḳit̤ honā, To be fallen, to be degraded.

شيطان shait̤ān A (from شطن Heb. To be disobedient or hostile) s. m. The devil, Satan. شيطان کي آنت shait̤ān kī ānt, The devilʼs guts, any thing very long and winding (as a lane). (Plur. شياطين). A.P. شيطاني shait̤ān-ī, adj. Devilish.
