گهون ghūn H s. m. Rancour, malice, spite.

گهونا ghūn-ā H adj. 1. Secret, cautious. 2. De- signing, malicious.

گهونٿ ghūnṭ H s. m. A gulp, a draught, pull.

گهونٿنا ghūnṭnā H v. a. To gulp, to drink, to swallow. ¶ ghonṭnā, 1. v. a. To polish by rubbing. 2. (met.) To investigate. 3. To strangle. 4. s. m. A stone, &c. with which any thing is polished. 5. The knee.

گهونٿي ghūnṭī H s. f. A medicine consisting of aloes, spices, and borax, given to new-born infants to clear out the meconium. (In urdū, گهٿي ghuṭṭī).

گهونگر ghūngar H s. m. A curl. (Perhaps, from s. घूर्ण Turning round). گهونگهروالي ياگهونگريالي بال ghūnghar-wāle- or ghūngaryāle-bāl, Curled hair.

گهونگرو ghūngrū S̱. (see گهنگهرو) s. m. 1. Name of an ornament worn round the ankles, with bells fastened to it. 2. A bell.

گهونگري ghūngrī H s. f. See گهونگي ghūngī, sign. 1.

گهونگني ghūngnī S̱. (from घूर्ण Turning about) s. f. A sort of stirabout, or grain of any kind (pulse or wheat, &c.) boiled whole, with sugar.

گهونگهرو ghūnghrū S̱. s. m. See گهونگرو.

گهونگهٿ ghūnghaṭ जवनिका S̱. s. f. A veil; concealing the face with a veil, &c. گهونگهٿ کاڙهنا ghūnghaṭ kāṛhnā, To draw a veil over the face. گهونگهٿ کرنا ghūnghaṭ karnā, 1. To

گهونگهچي ghūnghchī S̱. s. f. See گهنگچي.

گهونگي ghūngī H (perhaps, from s. घूर्ण Turning round) s. f. 1. Cloths folded up and put on the head as a defence against the rain. 2. A cockle or snail, a small ghongā.

گهونگچي ghūngchī S̱. s. f. See گهنگچي ghungchī.
