الغوزه alg̠ẖūza A s. m. A whistle, pipe, flagelet.

غوره g̠ẖūra P s. m. 1. Unripe grapes or dates. 2. A colour in pigeons.

غول g̠ẖūl A (vulg. g̠ẖol) s. m. 1. An imaginary sylvan demon of different shapes and colours, supposed to devour men and animals. (From this our European loup-garou, or man-wolf, seems to be borrowed). 2. (in Hindī) A corps, division, or main body of an army, a squadron, a crowd, gang. غول بياباني g̠ẖūl-i-bayābān-ī, A demon (inhabitant of the woods). غول کا غول g̠ẖol kā g̠ẖol, Crowd upon crowd.

غوک g̠ẖūk P s. m. 1. A frog, a toad. 2. A butt for archers.

فرغول farg̠ẖūl P s. f. A wrapper, a great coat, cloak. (Hunter.)

مرغوب marg̠ẖūb A (part. pass. of رغب) adj. Desired, desirable, amiable, beautiful, estima- ble; (subst.) Desire.

مرغول marg̠ẖūl P s. m. 1. Locks, twisted or plaited. 2. Quavering (in singing), warbling, singing. P. H. مرغولنا marg̠ẖol-nā, v. n. (dakh.) To sing, warble, quaver, talk (birds): see چہچہانا chah- chahānā. P. H. مرغولي marg̠ẖol-ī, s. f. (dakh.) Warbling, singing, quavering, talk (of birds).

مشغوله mashg̠ẖūla A (corrupt. for مشغله mash- g̠ẖala) s. m. Employment, occupation, pastime.
