ادهیانا adhyānā S̱. (from آدها ādhā, q. v.) v. a. To halve, to divide.

ادهیایه अध्याय adhyāya S s. m. A section or chapter of a book, a lecture.

انتردهیان antardhyān अन्तर्द्धान S̱. s. Disap- pearance. انتردهیان هونا antardhyān honā, To vanish, disappear, be concealed.

اندهیارا andhyārā अंधकार S̱. 1. adj. Dark, blind. 2. s. m. Darkness.

ايودهيا अयोध्या अ and r. युध Fight a-yodhyā S. s. f. (not to be warred against) The name of a country of which Rāma was sove- reign. Oude. See اوده awadh.

بندهيا बंध्या bandhyā S adj. Barren.

دهيانا dhyānā S̱. (r. ध्यै Think on) v. a. To me- ditate on, to think on, to adore, to know.

دهيانون dhyānauṅ S̱. v. a. (in Braj) See دهيانا dhyānā.

دهياني ध्यानी dhyān-ī S adj. Considerate, contemplative, given to meditation (on divine mat- ters), religious.

دهياونا dhyāwnā S̱. v. a. See دهيانا dhyānā.

دهياونون dhyāwnauṅ S̱. v. a. (in Braj) See دهيانا dhyānā.

سندهيا संध्या sandhyā S s. f. 1. Twilight, either in the evening or morning. 2. A period of time, forenoon, afternoon or midday. 3. Religious abstraction, meditation, repetition of mantras, sipping water, &c. to be performed by the three first classes of Hindūs at particular and stated periods in the course of every day, especially at sunrise, sunset, and also, though less essentially, at noon.

پنچادهياي panchādhyāʼī S̱. (पंचाध्यायी comp. of पंच Five, अध्याय Chapter, and ई with the sense of aggregation) s. f. The aggregate of five chapters of the Srī Bhāgavat, comprising a detail of the sports of Kr̤ish̤ṇa with the Gopīs.
