ادب adab A s. m. Institute, rule, good breeding, good manners, politeness, respect, urbanity; taking care not to pass the bounds of any thing. ادب کرنا adab karnā, To respect, to behave po- litely.

To advance. دب جانا dab jānā, To retire, to withdraw, to be mortified, to be suppressed. دب چلنا يا نکلنا dab-chalnā or -nikalnā, To be awed, to be overpowered. دب مرنا dab marnā, To be crushed to death. دبي پانو dabe-pāṅw or دبي پاون dabe-pāoṅ, With silent steps, softly, gently.
